A long and ambitious project during and about troubled times. We worked with White Rabbit to develop a campaign for WhatsApp during the Corona virus crisis. The project changed quite dramatically from start to finish over the course of a few months. More studios were brought on to help with the production of the final 5 films. I share here the final result of the one I directed and animated, illustrated by the great Yngwie Boley.

Before we made these 15 sec stories, we had planned on making a series of longer films, and bellow is the storyboard for the story I had originally created.
This was one of the original storyboard back when we were working towards a longer format. I had imagine a story where a boy and his grandfather would be brought together thanks to WhatsApp. At the end of the story, although we start both scenes on the same background, we reveal that it is morning for one and evening for the other. A poetic twist to show that neither time nor space can stop WhatsApp from bringing people together.
